Nowadays, many people concerned about education. However, there are still people who did not appreciate the education especially the interior community. Many problems can be found in the interior school such as low English proficiency among the children, most of the school children are absent on Mondays and some parents do not bother about their children's achievements in school. We cannot just take easy with these problems. So, we must find some ways to solve the problems.
The teacher’s role is very important to make an effective two-way communications as a practice in the classroom. This practice can help to curb the problem of low English proficiency among the children. Teachers must apply the uses of English in class. Teachers should provide opportunities for all students to speak up and speak their mind during the process of teaching and learning occurs. Thus, students will be more convenient to communicate. As a result, students will be able to increase the uses of English language better.
Because of the students preoccupied with their weekend, they are more common to not attend to school on Monday. They find it more fun to play than attend school and learn. Plus, if the learning of the day boring and too pack, they will become lazy to attend class. For the solution, teachers need to create a more interesting way of learning and effective in the classroom such as activity quiz, videos and games. This is because, learning that not boring can influenced the students to pursue education with fun and effective. Thus, students will be more motivated to pursue learning activities. The advantage that we can get from this solution is the problem most of the school children are absent on Monday can be prevented.
To cope with students who are low in English, teachers should be mindful of these problems. Some of the ways teachers can do is create a curing class. Restoration class is to help students who are low in English control. Curing class can be made in the learners and teaching Classes or made outside of class time learning and teaching. English classes are important to the recovery level students inside and outside the city.These arebecause rural students do better in Malay language proficiency of English. Therefore, teachers should think about a solution that balanced in every aspect of student learning. This recovery should be from the bottom or the beginning of the English subjects so that they can learn more regularly.
In addition, we must motivate among parents about the importance of children’s academic achievement. This is because parents can give encouragement to their children to study hard when they realize that the importance of their children’s achievements in school. This motivation program can be done on weekend and we must explain the importance of their children’s achievements in school. Therefore, the awareness of parents to children’s achievement is very important that will affect the interest of students to learn something especially English language.
In conclusion, to overcome these problems should come from small or when the students want to know life. This case because, when they has been educated in the best manner, it will become the best students. This respect, all behavior can be controlled because of their upbringing in the education. Various parties also have a role to solve the problem. Because, if a small number play a role in the problem cannot be resolved immediately. It is better to stop something bad from happening than to let it happen and then try to rectify the situation.
